Cars in German City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Authorities stated they were contacted by a resident who noticed a car in Hanau marked with reddish fluid

Around fifty vehicles have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Cars, walls and postboxes were vandalized, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Police say they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a man observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued liquid.

The substance had been drawn in the pattern of a swastika, they stated.

Police then found many other smeared cars and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are banned in Germany under laws outlawing the public display of Nazi symbols.

Police report preliminary tests suggest the fluid was likely human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to its source; investigators are presently not cognizant of any injuries in relation with the incident," they commented.

City officials announced they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have appealed to the community for tips.

A senior representative stated the attack rendered him stunned and had to be resolved promptly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on online, mentioning the death of nine people by a shooter targeting individuals of foreign heritage in 2020.
