2K Games has welcomed a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to oversee the development team at 31st Union, which is currently working on the forthcoming third-person roguelike extraction-shooter known as Project Ethos.
Management Shift Comes After Mixed Response
Brinkman assumes the leadership position at 31st Union following the departure of previous head Michael Condrey, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' disappointing unveiling last autumn.
Recently, 2K president a key figure updated staff about this organizational change through an official communication, which highlighted that playtesting had revealed the need for a distinct vision.
Ismailer noted that the team is now refining Project Ethos with a renewed approach, aiming to address player expectations.
A Pattern of Key Recruitment
The news follows a similar move taken by 2K Games in the summer, when they recruited an industry veteran from Blizzard to work on the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.
